Medical Coding Certificate Program Designed to accommodate individuals currently working in health care or related fields who need to upgrade their coding skills for career advancement or certification. The Medical Coding certificate program provides students with essential coding and data management skills including basic understanding of legal and ethical issues. ICD-9-CM and CPT coding concepts and guidelines are taught including computer applications. This part-time program is designed to accommodate busy work schedules. The program is also fully integrated into the Associate in Applied Science degree in Health Information Technology for those students who wish to continue their studies.
