MEDICAL CODING PROGRAM The Medical Coding Program is a non-degree certificate program that balances knowledge of medical science, technical skills, and practical experience with assessment and evaluation by instructors who care about students success. The program currently offers a Level I Certificate in: Medical Coding. Those who complete the certificate are eligible to apply for entry-level positions in hospitals, clinics, and other healthcare related organizations. In addition, graduates are eligible to apply to take an exam to become a certified coding associate or a certified coding specialist. Austin Community College is NOT accredited by AHIMA.
